As an artist, Ugetsu Ohara is known as Ryosuke Handa, a Japanese writer, printmaker, and translator.
He has published many works with bookbinders Seiichi Suzuki, Shin Sobue, and others, with the idea that books are produced in collaboration with editors and book designers.
With a genre-crossing perspective, he writes columns on photography and art criticism for magazines such as IS, Musashino Bijutsu, and Bunshun Weekly.
