The collection was originally created for the purpose of creating a museum, and is now presented in a paper format. The clear, parallel photographs of similar materials make this an extremely useful collection of historical and archival materials.
Although there are almost no tanks, fighter planes, or other weapons, the clothing, equipment, and daily necessities are extremely detailed, and there is no other collection of such material that surpasses this one.
It is recommended to read this book together with the first book "The Imperial Japanese Army and Navy: Military Clothing and Equipment".
