There once was a theater where I showcased experimental films and hosted a theater company during the tumultuous 1960s and 70s. It became a hub for artists pursuing change outside traditional politics. When screenings ended, my own filmmaking may have ceased as well. Now, the theater stands as a mere shell, reminiscent of a "graveyard of art theater films" and the counterculture of that time. Everyday life has returned to normal, but I am reminded of Inagaki Ashiho’s words: "Is not the earth merely a memory?"
